INTERVIEW
Q: Describe yourself in a few words.
A: I’m patient. I’m a good listener; I’m open to new ideas. I have a keen appreciation of business and technology.
Q: How do you define success?
A: Success for me would be fulfilling my ambition. It would be implementing and rolling out the rapid urban transport project. And if this project is successful, I’d like to leverage high technology or other breakthroughs in solving other problems of the world. So the focus is not just to earn money but also to solve some longstanding problems of this world.
Q: Why do you think you can become the Business Baazigar?
A: I think Business Baazigar should be someone whose project addresses the most fundamental problems of this world, such as environment, dependence on oil etc. I think what I’m trying to accomplish through my idea is far greater in scope, scale and ambition than what anyone else is trying to achieve. The importance of my project is similar to say, the invention of a car or the train – something that happens once in about hundred years. So in terms of far-reaching consequences, this is the most relevant project. As a person, I think I have a lot of patience, perseverance and insight into my project. I’m not afraid of dreaming really big and actually working on it to make it happen!
Q: Where do you see yourself five years from now?
A: Five years from now I see myself in the thick of building my business. It’s not something that will come about in a matter of two or three years. I think I’ll be associated with this transport project for another 20 years or so.
